OUR STORY

We’re a bake-to-order, family-owned, women-run business in Miami, sharing joy through desserts for over 10 years.

​

Casa Gioia—“house of joy” in Italian—was born from necessity. Fresh out of culinary school, with $50 left from my allowance, I baked my first dessert: a pecan pie, my mom’s favorite. That pie sparked a wild, beautiful journey.

​

We started with pies and cookies, but soon expanded to cakes—the ultimate comfort food. In 2021, our first line of specialty cakes became an instant hit, bringing nostalgia and sweetness to every occasion.

While our classic pecan pie and Nutella cookies remain favorites, our heart now lies in creating custom cakes for life’s special moments.

“What does Gioia mean?”, many of you have asked. Gioia simply means “joy” in Italian. But for us this means so much more than that: it's the core of this business, as we've made it our purpose to bring joy to whoever eats our desserts. This goes beyond baking a simple confection - it’s about feeding your souls with what we believe is the best ingredient - Gioia.
